Get answers to common questions about Volume Lash Extensions.
Initial full set appointments usually take 90–150 minutes depending on desired volume, lash mapping complexity, and natural lash condition. Fills or refills are shorter, typically 45–75 minutes. Your technician will give an accurate estimate during consultation.
When applied correctly by certified artists using appropriate weight and bonding techniques, volume lashes should not harm natural lashes. Proper aftercare and regular fills maintain lash health. Avoid picking, excessive oil-based products, and rough rubbing to minimize risk.
Retention varies by natural lash cycle and care, but most clients expect 2–4 weeks before a refill. We recommend scheduling fills every 2–3 weeks to keep a consistently full, dramatic look and ensure optimal lash health.
Many clients with sensitivities can wear volume lashes when we use medical-grade adhesive, hypoallergenic products, and follow tailored techniques. Patch tests and consultations identify allergies. If you have severe sensitivities, discuss alternatives like classic lashes or brow enhancements.
Avoid water, steam, and heavy exercising for 24–48 hours; skip oil-based makeup removers; gently cleanse with lash-safe foaming cleanser. Don't pick or rub lashes and sleep on your back if possible. Regular fills and professional cleanings prolong retention.
We advise against traditional mascara and mechanical curlers—they can clump, stress bonds, or damage fans. If needed, use water-based, extension-safe mascara sparingly on tips only. For curl adjustments, consult your technician for safe options.
