Jean's been my go-to for about a decade now -since 2013. I'd say she is top tier in the industry. I have experienced a range of other lash technicians whenever I was away traveling. Among the ever growing industry, she holds the title down for several reasons I'll break it down:

1. quality materials. we need to ask about the quality of the lash glue. Jean uses surgical grade lash glue that does not sting the eyes and the hold is extended, mostly 3 weeks and up to 4 weeks at a time

Most lash glue fumes are harsh enough to burn our eyes proximally, I remember asking Jean some 8-9 years ago if her glue had pain numbing substance. She shared how she's researched for a lash glue that is surgical grade so it's nontoxic to the eye longterm plus it's better hold. So she doesn't need to dispense much glue for hold. For any contact lens wearer, our cornea naturally thins out and since my lasic surgery 5 years ago, my eyes are even more sensitive

2. Lash application technique. She applies single lash extension to each natural lash where in due time, only the lash extension falls out and my natural lashes are still in tact. In 45 minutes, she attaches the extensions with minimal glue in such a way that my natural lashes are preserved and free from damage. For folks like me with slim/sparse lashes, this means everything

3. Lash design. There's so many curl types and designs to choose from: J, D, C, CC, etc. Jean is a designer in her craft. She considers your natural lash angles, health/condition, face shape, etc. she mixes/layers the lash lengthes, usually 10-13mm for me so that the varying lengths mimic our natural ones. It's the layering design for me.

Also. Her clientele speaks for itself. I've seen folks drive across states to book an appointment with Jean. Her regulars are from PA and literally all the boroughs in nyc. Hence lots of public figures frequent her. When I say she is the best, Jean gets it...more

I have gotten my lashes done many place before Jean, and they have never turned out the way that Jean does them. She uses the best materials, she is meticulous, and really talented. No one can get it done the way she does. She makes your lashes look full and beautiful. Jean's Lash Lounge is very unique and her style can't be copied. I highly recommend her but do know she is extremely booked and you must make an appointment well in advance. I make my appointments every two weeks....more
